Ever curious, the boys wanted to know about the muffled clanking, cursing, and muttering that was coming from the kitchen a few days ago.

They at least tried to be helpful.

I didn't count on mini-badass Dean to get grossed out during the proceedings! Luckily he controlled himself.

I also didn't expect Sam, of all people, to get as involved with the project as he did.

Seriously. Who knew that chocolate chip cookies were the way into Sam Winchester's good graces?

Dean got over his disgust over the way butter, raw egg, and sugar looked real fast. Probably too fast for my own comfort.

Problem was, never having made a cookie bar instead of cookies, I overestimated the ease I'd have making it uniform. So I rolled up my sleeves. The guys cheered me on.

By this point, I had two overly impatient Winchesters practically trying to dive into the oven. I put a stop to that with a well-timed distraction.

Finally (and just in time to stop the boys from attacking my poor oven), the cookie bar was done. Peace once again reigned.

…perhaps I spoke too soon.
