Well, Mr Dizzo and I took our few days out, heading up to beautiful Warwickshire, in the heart of England, about two hours from home. Our home from home during this time was magnificent Chesford Grange Hotel - we had decided to treat ourselves to a little bit of luxury.
The plan was that no minis were coming with us; after all, this was OUR time. But they moaned. and whinged. and we ignored them. Then they bitched. And wheedled. And we still ignored them.
Then Mini Sam brought out the puppydog face.
Little bastard.
So it was that the two of us, and our delegation of minis (and teeny weenies) headed up to the hotel first tthing on Saturday morning.
We'd only been in the room ten minutes when ...

On Saturday afternoon, we headed out into beautiful Royal Leamington Spa. It had to be said that mini Dean wasn't overly impressed with genteel Leamington.
At least that was until we happened across a rather out of character shop ...

Luckily Planet Bong was closed. Minis, I can deal with (just about), but stoned Minis ... my head aches just thinking about it!
Our next stop on Sunday morning was Banbury. A historical market town about 20 miles south of Leamington. Banbury is most famous for an old nursery rhyme here in UK (I don't know if it's hopped the Atlantic!!)
Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross
To see a fine Lady upon a white horse
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
She shall make music wherever she goes
Mini Sam and Mini Castiel actually seemed quite interested in seeing Banbury ...

*sigh* I don't know why I bother!
On Sunday afternoon, we headed into Stratford upon Avon, the historical home of the great Bard himself, Shakespeare. It's one of my favourite places in England.
We had a close encounter with Lady Macbeth ...

Of course, completely wasted on the little proles!

Our final stop this morning was to head back into Leamington for some fuel and a coffee before heading home.
seriously, I was lucky to be able to afford a coffee!!!

And that was our *romantic* weekend away!
