I know there have been a million far better fix-it fanfics on this topic, but when I was trying to figure out what Castiel would do, for some reason my mind went here. Hope it works for you guys, especially the Cas fans.
I was hoping that as a Cas fan, you would chime in and let me know if I’m getting him right. Thank you!
It makes sense, doesn’t it? If the amulet does have some magic (and it must if Cas thought it could find God), then the angel who held onto it for half a year should be able to recognize and locate it. Cas already has a history of searching for and finding angelic objects like those weapons in S6, and if anyone would scour the earth to find that amulet for Sam and Dean, it would be Castiel. At least that's my take on it.
I think you got Cas perfectly and I so agree that "if anyone would scour the earth to find that amulet for Sam and Dean, it would be Castiel." I hope we see the amulet in the show again :)
I may have misted up a bit myself when the idea first came to me, so you're not alone.
I figure that's the only way the amulet can come back at this point, unless Sam plucked it right back out of the wastebasket and has really been holding onto it all this time. It's unlikely that it still hasn't been revealed all these years later, but perhaps it's still possible.
Yeah, I guess I can sort of take credit for the idea too, huh? ;)
I could never forget the amulet, not since "A Very Supernatural Christmas" told us where it came from. I enjoyed the symmetry of it being a Christmas present again, this time for both brothers.

That was a great idea, dear Cas and Kink; absolutely fabulous [and I don't mean just the way your story goes there, honey ;) ].
YAY! For not forgetting Samulet.
*runs off to cherish own*
- And I'm looking forward to your next scene...^^
*huggles you both*
