Funko'd Me, sort of

So I went to the Funko avatar site, and unfortunately they didn't have much in the way of, shall we say, ethnic options. I didn't even see an Afro there. However, since I'd like to take a stab at appearing in the welcome banner,




I may have been a bit *ahem* generous in my weight loss (and suddenly miraculously clear skin), though I was at least honest enough to include my grey temples.

If it's not possible to include this for whatever reason, I understand. The banner looks awesome, anyway. :)

I hope Milly can find a way to include you, she's much more tech-savvy than me! It's brilliant, I like your huge pencil, who needs an avatar when you can draw yourself! But it's very disappointing that there were no ethnic options. I have the same trouble when buying cards for my nephew's kids, as all cards for children seem to just have white kids on.

It was nice the day I went to buy a Hallmark card and found they had a section called the Mahogany Collection, Hallmark cards that make a point of featuring people of color. Still, it's kind of ridiculous that such a specific collection needed to be created, that someone in their marketing department had to bring up such an oversight - and God forbid they mix the POC cards in with the rest, hence the Mahogany "section." :\

It's kind of silly, especially since the Funko dolls themselves come in all shapes and colors. I didn't expect to see every shade of brown or natural hairstyle represented, but yeesh.

LOVE IT!!!

Yes, the options are limited indeed. I had to use one of the male bodies to even approach an honest representation of myself. All women are white and skinny apparently o_O

I was a bit kind to myself in terms of body shape, but it would have been nice if they remembered women do come in different sizes. They could have at least offered the male figure plus boobs, which was Funko's original take on women before someone decided they all had to be waifs.

The lack of options is rather silly. I saw your Funko of Steve, and my first thought was, "where's the grey hair?" Even the mermaid site offered grey hair!
