Boys at the Beach

I've spent the weekend visiting family on the Isle of Wight and so while I was there I decided to take the boys (and girl) for an entirely new experience ... a visit to the beach!

Baby immediately threw herself into the spirit of the occasion ...







Then Dean followed suit ...



Sam was also making the most of the sea's bountiful resources.



The boys tried building a sandcastle, but realised it was harder work than it looked!



But Dean was not to be discouraged!



Castiel decided to take a quiet walk along the beach to find himself.



His peace didn't last long when everyone else found him too.



The boys weren't impressed when I refused to allow them into the sea because it was too choppy, so they found other ways to paddle in the surf.



Meanwhile Bobby took himself away to enjoy a quiet contemplative moment and think profound thoughts ...



Ah, okay, maybe not.



After a busy and blustery morning at the beach, a hot drink was very welcome ...



It would have been even better if I'd have actually managed to drink any of it!
