An important anniversary

The 10th of June is the anniversary of that fateful day that Jensen's ass broke Amazon.  Well, it makes a change from it breaking me!

So it seems like an appropriate time to revive this Mini Strip...

It was a tough time for Baby.

Han's the man, or so he thinks...

Back in April, the lovely sasha_dragon sent a little Han Solo to join my brood. He's been made very welcome by the gang.

Although, not by everyone...

A Walk in the Woods...

So a few weeks ago, Agent Pop and Agent Funko came away for the weekend with us.  They decided to take themselves off and explore the local countryside.  Or at least, Agent Pop did.  Agent Funko was more in favour of exploring the local bars.
But ... rock paper scissors.  He lost!

A Day in the Countryside

Mr Dizzo and I headed off t the beautiful village of Avebury for an anniversary lunch today.  Avebury is a unique village, in that it sits inside a prehistoric stone circle, and it's a place that [livejournal.com profile] jj1564 and I often talked about as she loved the place as much as I do, but unfortunately hadn't been able to get there in the last few years of her life.

Under the circumstances, we thought it would be nice to take some of JJ's minis with us just for old time's sake!

I had hoped that June's minis wouldn't lower the tone the way mine always did.

I was wrong.

First of all we went around the stone circle, exploring the stones...

GISH time again

I participated in the Mini GISH at the weekend, and item 46 was:

'Your toys like to go to festivals, too. You know this because you just saw them all in a big crowd or sandbox, watching your favourite toys and figurines perform on stage.'

... I mean, how could I not?

... with apologies to the Golden Lion Pub. Are we barred yet?

So, yesterday,  Milly, her wonderful hubby Steve, and I met at the Golden Lion pub in Winchester to catch up, to reminisce about our dear JJ and to enjoy some great food.

We also decided that as this pub has been a past venue for some of the greatest past Mini adventures, that it would be very remiss of us not to bring along a few of the little herberts to join us.

Of course, it didn't take long for the day to decend to usual Parade levels of behaviour....

Miniversity Challenge...

This joke may not travel beyond the shores of the UK, but I'm happy to explain it if it doesn't!

When I first saw my minis in their new home, with the layers of shelves,my first thought was that they looked like they were taking part in University Challenge!

I can just see it now:

"Crowley, Heaven and Hell College.  This is your starter for ten..."
"Ten years darling?  Fine.  What do you want?"

My Minis have a new home!

Finally, my minis have their own home; a personal place of residence!

When I got my first Sam and Dean, they lived on my bedside table.  Then Castiel joined, followed by home-made Bobby and Baby.  Then they outgrew my bedside table and I had to move them to the office windowsill.  More minis joined the throng and they outgrew the windowsill.  Over the intervening years, as their numbers have continued to increase (not sure if it qualifies as an invasion or an infestation), they have at various times lived on the table nest, the sideboard, the coffee table and the dining table. But wherever they have been, they have never had a place to call their own.

Until now.

Dear paraders, here are my minis proudly  showing off their new home:
