The land of Fire and Ice ... and whiny Small Plastic People

So, on our recent trip to Iceland I took a delegation of Minis to enjoy the occasion, basically Team Free Will plus Crowley.  The minis that ended up coming along cemented their place on the trip through kicking the shit out of the other Minis polite and informed discussion with their comrades.

We just knew the minis would be filled with excitement and enthusiasm for their trip, and all the new things that they were going to see. *coughs*

Our first stop was Reykjavik's magnificent concert hall...






Of course, when visiting Iceland, one needs to be aware of the climate.  The clue is kinda in the name ...


And did they stop moaning and whinging?  Even after Mr D donated his hat?

Dean, that is a monument to the Icelandic peoples' proud Viking heritage.  It is not a place for wussy little minis to shelter from the breeze.

They really appreciated their walk along Reykjavik harbour.
Mr D didn't though ...

Later in the week, we took them along to Seltun geothermal region, a fascinating place where you can see Iceland forming right before your eyes ...

Ah yeah, I forgot about the sulphur!

How long until your arm is better?

We could use some Icelandic weather around here lately. Too hot!

My arm is well on the way, thank you. I am now slingless, have been for a couple of weeks now. The fracture clinic has discharged me to the care of the physiotherapists. They say it will be 6 - 8 months before I have anything close to a full range of movement back!

The Icelandic weather was VERY refreshing, I can tell you!
