Uh, yeah....

In theory yes. I have no problem editing posts on my own journal. I just couldn't see an obvious way of doing it in the group.

No it's not there. I see the blue pencil edit button in comments to the post, but not on the original post itself...

Okay, at the very top of the post, along with previous, next etc, it also has edit, in words. Hit that, you can edit the post :)
