They are delicious -the crumpets, that is. ;-) The dough is maybe a little heavy, but hey, it was my first time (up to a month ago, I didn't even know what crumpets were)

I had to bake crumpets myself since they aren't sold anywhere near I live (english muffin yes, crumpets got me "whaaat?" from the two bakery I visited ;-)

Dean and me, we put TONS of butter on them and it was delicious!!! My husband and Sam really enjoyed them with marmalade.

Well, there were some huh... samples that didn't make it to the picture because they were all mishaped. You know what? Dean doesn't care about the shape of a crumpet as long as it's saturated with butter.

Well, that's what happened. I had JJ and milly explain to me what crumpets were, then I had to have some but there is no where near where I live that's selling them so to that point I was like... obsessing over crumpets and I decided: well, girl, you want crumpets, just bake them.
